It has given me time to just slow down and not have all these commitments and things to go and do.

[Interviewer]

How has COVID-19 impacted your daily life?

[Janelle]

COVID-19 has impacted my daily life by not being able to take my kids out of the house. I basically leave them at home and do all my grocery shopping online and I would say hanging out with friends, going to concerts, that kind of thing.

[Interviewer]

What did you under appreciate before COVID that you appreciate more now?

[Janelle]

Probably going to shows and concerts and spending time with my family and my grandparents.

[Interviewer]

How will the pandemic change society once it's over?

[Janelle]

I think that people are going to be keeping a lot of these rules that we have now in place. I think that social distancing is still going to be a thing even after the pandemic is over and businesses are definitely just going to continue to be affected by it.

[Interviewer]

How did isolation affect you and how has this impacted your relationships with family and your friends?

[Janelle]

Isolation, it got lonely at times but I also liked it because it has given me time to just slow down and not have to have all these commitments and things to go and do. I also just benefited spending time at home with my kids and we went on nature walks. And my relationship with my partner I would say got better because we were able to spend quality time together and work on things around the house, work on our relationship and just build it.

[Interviewer]

That's amazing. What pre-COVID memory keeps you hopeful and what possible future keeps you going?

[Janelle]

Pre-COVID memories would probably be going to the play places with my kids, like interplay gems with my kids. And I'm just, I'm hopeful that people will continue to social distance and maintain the boundaries and stuff like that, the guidelines that are put in place and hopefully that we able to continue on with our lives the way they were before COVID.

[Interviewer]

That's it. Thank you very much for being a part of our project.

[Janelle]

Thank you.
